Rhode Dena

Hello my name is Rhode Dena, also known as Water_YouDoing (on Wattpad.com). I am a seventeen year old weirdo, who loves to write. I began writing when I was twelve years old, and have been doing it ever since.

 

I know most people bash on the twilight series by Stephenie Meyer, but I cannot. Reading those huge chunky books is what got me into reading. I started reading excessively, which in turn made me want to write excessively. I wanted to make people feel the same way that J. Minter, Sarah Dessen, and Neal Shusterman made me feel when I first read their works. I wanted to have that hold on someone, where they just could not have enough of my words and wanted more and more. So I began to write.

 

At first, writing was just something I did when I had finished reading all of the books that I checked out at my local library. It was a way to occupy my mind whilst I waited for my weekend run to the library. One day though, when tapping into my neighbors WiFi I discovered a website called, Wattpad. I found out that the website allows writers to post their stories and share it with others. I thought it was the coolest thing!

 

For a while, I ditched all the physical books published by well known authors, and began reading stories written by ordinary people who have the passion for writing. It took me a view months to finally gain the courage to post some of my stories, but when I finally did, I never regretted it. Everyday I am progressing as an author, and being able to have immediate feedback on my work has really moulded me into the writer that I am today. Having the encouragement and people there to discuss what I have written, and giving them the feelings I have whenever I read my favorite authors, is rewarding.

 

Writing is no longer a thing I do just because I am bored. Writing has become who I am. Writing is me -- writing is Rhode Dena.
